From 22–23 August, 2026, the Regents of the Province came together at JFCT, Tarunoday, Kanke for their bi-monthly recollection, prayerfully guided by Fr. Deepak Toppo, Province Formation Assistant.
A total of 23 regents participated in this spiritual gathering. To foster deeper sharing and reflection, they were divided into two groups for spiritual conversation. This allowed each regent to engage more personally, listen attentively, and contribute meaningfully to the communal discernment.
The recollection was centred on the theme:
“Regency: Where Formation Meets Mission – To be formed by the mission, so that we may be formed for mission.”
Through talks, prayer, and group sharing, the regents were invited to reflect on how their apostolic experiences during regency are not merely tasks to be completed, but formative encounters that shape their Jesuit identity. The sessions emphasized the importance of allowing the mission to mould their hearts, so that they may, in turn, be better prepared for future mission responsibilities.
