On 27 August, a joyful milestone was marked in the mission at Keondtanr, Gumla, with the inaugural and blessing ceremony of the new Jesuit residence. The event was officiated by Fr. Provincial, together with Rt. Rev. Bishop Pingal Ekka, Bishop of Gumla, as a sign of growth and commitment to the quality mission in the region.
The solemn Eucharist was celebrated by Bishop Pingal as the main celebrant, with Fr. Provincial delivering an inspiring homily that encouraged the faithful and Jesuits alike to remain steadfast in their mission. A good number of Jesuits, priests, sisters, and lay faithful gathered to witness and share in the joy of the occasion.
The Jesuit presence in Keondtanr continues to flourish under the dedicated leadership of:

- Fr. John Anuranjan Beck, Principal of the High School
- Fr. John Dungdung, Headmaster of the Middle School
Following the inaugural and blessing ceremony, a beautiful cultural programme was organized, showcasing the talents and spirit of the local community. The celebration concluded with a festive lunch for all, strengthening bonds of fraternity and mission.
The entire event was well organized and executed under the leadership of Fr. Solomon Barwa, reflecting the vibrancy and commitment of the Jesuit mission in Gumla.
