Balipara Parish celebrated its Annual Youth Day 2026 on 23rd August 2026. Over 650 enthusiastic young people gathered to celebrate faith, energy, and community under the guidance of pastoral leaders, elders, and well-wishers. The celebration was enriched by the presence of esteemed guests who offered inspiring words of guidance, emphasizing that the growth of young people is a shared responsibility within a vibrant Church.

  • Fr. Thomas Barls, SJ (Delegate to the Provincial, Assam Mission Jesuits)
  • Fr. Ignatius Minj, SJ (Parish Priest)
  • Fr. Niran Rabha (Tezpur Diocese Youth Director)
  • Sr. Emelda (Assistant Youth Director)
  • Jesuit Fathers: Fr. John Berchmans Dungdung, Fr. Roshan Bage, Fr. Rozario Mosahari, Fr. Ranjit Kujur, Fr. Xavier Lakra, and Fr. Erenius Toppo

The day opened with the Holy Eucharist, setting a prayerful and reflective tone, followed by a dynamic lineup of creative and spiritual events:

  • Praise & Worship: Raising hearts and voices in joyful prayer.
  • Action & Group Dances: Showcasing the talent, energy, and rhythm of the youth.
  • Bible Quiz: Deepening knowledge and love for God's Word.
  • Fashion Show: Bringing color, confidence, and smiles to the stage.

From shared laughter to inspiring performances, the event served as a powerful reminder that youth ministry is about building relationships, discovering talents, and walking together in faith.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to God Almighty, our pastoral leaders, organizers, and participants who made this day an unforgettable celebration of community. May our young people continue to grow as faithful, joyful, and responsible disciples serving God, the Church, and society with love.

With Gratitude and Prayers,

Youth Committee
